Friesen Residence, | Lake Country, BC.

This residence sits on a spectacular lot with a 180-degree view of Okanagan Lake. One of the main features of the house is how the exterior and interior blend together, allowing a natural flow of fresh air on summer Okanagan days and inviting natural light into the space.

The house has an outdoor pool with exterior living and dining areas, as well as a fire pit to enjoy long days sipping a glass of wine and taking in the views. The exterior connects with the interior space in a natural way, flowing from the main access through the house and leading visitors towards the exterior.

Our team collaborated with Mandy and Dan, along with their builder, Richmond Custom Homes, to execute this project in the Okanagan Valley. This project is one of many successful collaborations we've undertaken in the area, and we take pride in building long-term relationships with our clients and partners.

Throughout the project, we offered comprehensive services for both the interior and exterior finishes of the house. This included providing a detailed drawing package with specifications and other pertinent details to provide clear direction and guidance to trades and builders. Our goal was to ensure that the project was executed flawlessly and that the finished product matched our clients' initial vision.

Our team adopted a light and airy approach, crafting an overall calm and serene interior design with a neutral palette that features warm wood tones, white, and gray stained accents. We incorporated some of the same elements throughout the house, such as the wood dropped ceiling above the dining area, while updating other finishes, such as the classic fireplace design, which was a must-have for our clients.

The primary ensuite is a standout feature of the house, with a stunning makeup counter and ample storage provided by light oak cabinetry and bright white countertops. For added privacy, the toilet room is enclosed with frosted glass from floor to ceiling. These details, along with the other design elements, ensure that the Lakestone Residence is a luxurious and inviting space for its owners to call home.

It's interesting to note that the Lakestone Residence is now on the market, as our clients loved the process so much that they bought the lot next door, and we are starting a new project together. We're excited to showcase the new home in about a year and highlight the features that we carried over from the previous project. We're also thrilled to introduce some innovative new elements that we're working on incorporating into the new home, and we can't wait to see the final result. Stay tuned for more updates!
