Welcome to Lakesider Brewing, the newest addition to the Westside Wine Trail. Situated in a strategic location, this brewery aims to fill the void of craft beer destinations on the west side. The visionary owners of Lakesider Brewing approached MATERIA interior design team with an exciting dream - to create a brewery that captures the carefree essence of lakeside enjoyment. This brewery would become a gathering place for both locals and visitors, where they could celebrate the true essence of being a 'lakesider' - from tranquil morning paddles on glassy lakes to leisurely afternoons basking on sun-drenched beaches, and cozy blue evenings spent fireside with friends.

With the opportunity to work on a brand new space, we were able to listen closely to our clients' needs and collaborate with the developers of the commercial complex. This collaboration ensured that the new space perfectly accommodated our client's unique requirements.

The project called for an indoor restaurant space with a service bar, a merchandise storefront, an inviting outdoor patio for those glorious sunny summer days, a fully functional brewery, a lower level common area for private gatherings and events, dedicated office space, and ample storage. As you can imagine, this intricate program demanded meticulous attention to detail and constant communication and coordination with our client and the skilled trades involved.

To breathe life into the space, we adopted a design approach that emphasized large, open areas, allowing natural light to flood the interiors. Our vision centered around a refurbish and cabin-like style of furniture, while the building's red brick, stone, and steel roof façade provided a canvas for playing with materials and textures that harmonized with the surroundings.

Upon entering the main indoor space, guests are greeted by a grand fireplace crafted from natural stone. This centerpiece creates a cozy ambiance, inviting patrons to gather around and engage in delightful conversations. To enhance the rustic charm, communal tables are strategically placed, fostering a sense of community and shared experiences among customers. The hanging chandeliers, natural wooden beams, black steel windows, and polished concrete flooring contribute to the overall aesthetic and ambiance of the space.

The indoor restaurant space seamlessly transitions into the service bar, offering patrons a wide array of craft beers to choose from. The design incorporates a blend of modern fixtures and rustic elements to create a unique atmosphere that is both inviting and stylish. The use of warm lighting accents and carefully selected furnishings further adds to the overall charm and character of Lakesider Brewing.

For those seeking an al fresco experience, the outdoor patio provides the perfect retreat. Surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with comfortable seating arrangements, it is an idyllic spot to bask in the sun while sipping on a refreshing pint. The office space and storage areas have been meticulously designed to maximize functionality while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the overall design.
